MIXto - Micro Fractional Laser Treatment
MIXto SX Micro Fractional CO2 Laser treatment is a new treatment for skin rejuvenation that makes it possible for you to have healthy, younger looking skin with minimal post treatment down time. A single treatment can show significant improvement in skin texture and color while softening wrinkles. This treatment can be used for treating acne scars or signs of aging.
The MIXto delivers a therapeutic matrix of tiny beams of light energy to the top and mid layers of skin with minimal discomfort. This results in immediate shrinkage of damaged skin, softening of fine lines and wrinkles, removal of age and sun spots, and new collagen production for up to 6 months following treatment.
Prior to treatment – Dr. Tittle will discuss which areas of your skin will benefit from treatment, and what results you can expect. In most cases MIXto can be safely preformed on the face, neck, chest and hands. Usually a single treatment produces satisfying results. If desired a second treatment can be scheduled 8 weeks after the first.
The treatment – Topical anesthetic should be applied 30 minutes prior to treatment. Before treatment begins the areas to be treated are thoroughly washed and the skin dried. During the treatment you will feel a warm sensation on the skin, and treatment time for a full face is approximately 25 minutes.
Post treatment – You will have a slight burning sensation similar to sunburn, which lasts anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours. Your skin will show a fine pinpoint like pattern as a result of the therapeutic beams.
Day 1 - 2 The fine pinpoint pattern will begin to disappear and the skin will have a tanned look. You will need to keep you skin hydrated with aquaphor for the next few days.
Day 3 - 4 The top layer of skin will begin to peel during normal washing, revealing new rejuvenated skin with improved color and texture.
Day 5 - 6 The peel will be complete in most cases. Avoid prolonged sun exposure for at least 3 months. Apply a moisturizing 30 SPF sun block every day. You will see continued reduction of fine lines and wrinkles over the next 6 months as new collagen is produced.
